About

Wadhal
Wadhal is an architecture studio based in London, creating narrative-led spaces that reconsider design, tradition and culture.

Founded by Fahad Malik, Wadhal delivers residential and commercial projects from concept through to built reality. Inspired by contradictions, the work of the practice is responsive. Each project takes on its own methodology, a story that reflects changes in context, climate, and character.

Wadhal is a tribal name found in Mianwali, Namal Lake and the surrounding land in Pakistan. Its literal meaning translates to an increase, surplus or the notion of exceeding limitations.

Fahad Malik
Fahad grew up in Islamabad in the ‘90s, and moved to London at nine years old. Prior to starting an independent practice, Fahad was Senior Architect at Tonkin Liu, having previously worked for Teatum+Teatum, Dualchas Architects and the Commonwealth Games.

Fahad values getting to know his clients intimately, understanding the story of their past, reflecting on current lifestyles and considering aspirations for the future. This gives each project a consistent identity from the first sketch to the finished design.

Get in touch with Fahad to discuss your project.
